PPR Essential for briefing.
Visiting pilots welcome at their own risk.
Information given with PPR
Numerous Power lines close to field. Down slope of 3% on 18/36 runway means all landings must
be on to runway 36 and take-offs usually on runway 18. Extreme caution needed on approach &
departure as you could have opposite direction traffic. Runway 12/30 slopes down, west of the N/S
runway. High ground (1048 ft) only one mile north of the airfield causes turbulence if the wind has
a northerly component. Avoid area to south of airfield, villages and Crematorium,. Clear radio calls
will assist all pilots to ensure there is only ever one aircraft in the circuit at any time.
