Remarks
Visiting pilots welcome at their own risk. Airfield is close to the Valley CMATZ and visitors should contact Valley APP on arrival / departure.
Caernarfon Airfield now has 2 of 150 foot high wind turbines built to the east of runway 02/20 and 30 metres from the edge of the runway. There are now limitations to the use of this runway. Check the airfield website site for full details.
A visit to the museum whilst visiting is a must
Warnings
Airfield is close to Valley CMATZ, and aircraft should therefore call Valley on 125.225 but they are usually closed on a weekend. Hi-Vis vests mandatory airside.
Zoom out on map to see TV mast warning to the SSE, 5 Nm away.
Do not fly over local habitation, especially any of the many caravan sites.
Hard to miss, but ensure you do, the wind turbines.
