Remarks
Primary Runway Summer 31-13 grass, 23-05 tarmac.
Winter: 23-05 tarmac.
Circuits
All circuits are generally around the TV mast to the north.
Landing on 05
Don’t come in direct along the centreline, come in at an angle, from the west, then turn 45-ish degrees left on short final, to avoid overflying noise-sensitive area close to airfield (just like Popham).
Warnings
Visiting pilots welcome at their own risk. PPR by telephone. Avoid flying over local habitation.
You’ve got 31 twice; the fourth entry should be 23 (opposite direction to 05). When landing on 05, don’t come in direct along the centreline, come in at an angle, from the west, then turn 45-ish degrees left on short final, to avoid overflying noise-sensitive area close to airfield (just like Popham).
Thanks Cameron, updated.
Most of these directions are wrong (and Pooleys also have it wrong). Circuits are generally round the mast on the north side of the airfield (other side of M4). For example, 31 is right hand, 13 is left hans; 16/17 ate left hand; 34/35 are right hand. 23 is right hand; 05 is left hand.
