Remarks

Oaksey Park is an unlicensed, grass airfield operated by Austen Associates, and is PPR by phone to the airfield manager.

The airfield is situated app 3nm SE of Kemble, just outside the Kemble ATZ; for this reason there is no "deadside" to the circuit pattern which is shown in the charts section. Except in extreme circumstances, runway 17 is only available for take-offs, and 35 is only for landings.

Because of local noise sensitive areas, no circuit flying is permitted; except as dictated by the requirements of good airmanship . Similarly, departures from rwys 04 & 22 should make a 15 degree right turn as soon as this can be accomplished safely.

The proximity of RAF Lyneham means that RAF C130s frequently transit close to the airfield.

An AGCS is established on frequency 132.225, although this is not always manned.

The airfield is managed by Dick Thrush whose office is located at the end of the SW hangars

Warnings

17 Take off Only
35 Landing Only

Booking in and out is undertaken in the clubhouse ( marked C ) where payment of landing fees may be made, in the honesty-box ,if unmanned.
