Sywell is now 122.705 listen on the way in as always traffic at 2000ft ish going into Sywell. Both circuits are over the water I’ve never PPR going in the owner happy to see it used, the strip is well looked after. Donation box next to vehicle entrance proceeds go to the air ambulance.
I flew in there about 4 weeks ago and on departure it seemed very long. I’m accustomed to 350m, but Pitsford just went on and on! And quite a rolling field.
Is the picture recent Vince as on the Flyer forum there is mention of it being reduced . Thought it best to ask.
I’ve changed it back. Better to be safe than sorry. Don’t want someone flying in there that needs 500m to get out. Especially given that PPR is not required.
Circuits to the north.
PPR not required.
Airstrip is just outside Sywell ATZ.
Thanks Mark, I’ve just re-measured it in google earth and it is 604m not 450.
